Stella Lee, FNP-C, NP

Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurse

  • Credentials

Stella is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences at UC Santa Cruz and continued her education by obtaining a Master of Science in Nursing at Western University of Health Sciences.

While attending graduate school, she gained bedside nursing experience at Placentia-Linda Hospital in medical-surgical and telemetry departments. Later on she transitioned to the emergency room at Huntington Beach Hospital.

Upon completion of her FNP certification, she began her practice in an internal medicine office. She gained a broader scope outside of the primary care setting and provided extended care for patients in a skilled nursing facility, home visitations, and hospice. Later on, she had the opportunity to assist with implementing IV nutrient therapies.

She also works at Sutter Health Walk-In Clinic where she provides acute healthcare services to the Silicon Valley community.

  • Philosophy

Stella grew up in a traditional family household that believed in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Her parents and grandparents were influential in her life as they often would prepare herbal soups and nutritious foods as a way of promoting longevity and good health.

As she continued her nursing career, she found herself wanting to implement more holistic treatments for her patients. She noticed she was drifting farther away from this as she continued practicing in conventional medicine. She always had a great appreciation for conventional medicine especially in emergent cases, such as having a heart attack, broken bone, or severe infection. Together with a collaborative team, she was able to deliver life-saving interventions throughout her nursing career. As she transitioned to an ambulatory care setting where patients were stable, she was curious about what other forms of preventative health care services were out there. She began studying intravenous nutrient therapies and nutritional healing. She saw that her patients had similar interests in seeking alternative medicine. Her passion for healing from within grew stronger as she soon discovered functional medicine. The start of the pandemic is when she began the process of becoming certified in Functional Medicine.

  • Hobbies

When not seeing patients, Stella loves taking vinyasa and sculpt yoga classes, long hikes, traveling and exploring new campgrounds with her partner and their dog. Since she has been back in the Bay Area after being in Los Angeles for the last 10 years, she is enjoying her time off by spending quality time with her family. She also speaks fluent Cantonese.
