Can You Get Off Your Medications?
Medications are not necessarily for life
What you will learn about
Do you take medications? How many? It’s estimated that once you are taking more than two or three, they are likely counteracting each other and worsening your health.
Do you feel lousy?
Is your health at a breaking point?
Perhaps you feel like you’re just getting by in life, unable to enjoy it due to your poor health.
Have you wondered if it’s too late to make a change in your health?
If you’re in your 40s, 50s, or 60s you may feel it’s too late to do anything about your health.
I’m here to tell you it’s not too late; we regularly have patients taking five, six, and up to eight plus medications that are able to get off most if not all of them.
It doesn’t happen overnight, of course, but it does occur, and patients who have been convinced they’d never feel great again, wonder why they didn’t embark on a program sooner.
A 65-year-old feels young again
A recent patient who turned 65 admitted that a year prior she saw the end of her life coming sooner than she had ever anticipated. She felt so bad that she couldn’t imagine “going on” much longer. A year later she’s celebrating turning 65 and sees no end in sight – she’s never felt better or younger!
“You saved my life”
An obese gentleman with diabetes, thyroid disease, trouble sleeping, and constant pain came to us as a last resort. The daily pain and shortness of breath made each day of his life a nightmare. His doctor would listen to him for a few minutes and hand him a new medication; he was taking 8 different medications when he arrived.
He told me the other day that we “saved his life”. I must say that I never tire of hearing patients say that exact same thing and I/we are humbled that we get to perform that role for our patients. But it’s a team effort; we don’t have a magic wand; we know what to do but the patient has to do it.
Is it easy to reverse degenerative disease, alter one’s biochemistry, turn off chronic inflammation, change one’s diet and lifestyle? No.
Is it impossible? Not even remotely.
Change – small steps add up
It’s really about being ready to make the change, willing to listen to our advice and make required dietary and lifestyle changes.
Change scares some people; I understand. But the definition of insanity is continuing to do the same thing over and over and expecting a different result, right? Therefore, change is necessary, but baby steps are fine. Small changes in the right direction still get you to your desired destination – in this case, optimal health.
No one’s journey to regained health is easy or without some obstacles. But remember we’ve been helping our patients for 30 years; we know what to do and we know the most streamlined approach to get you there.
Have you decided it’s time to improve your health? Perfect. Now is the time. Let’s start.
