Carrot-Ginger Citrus Immune Boosting Smoothie

This is a fun and colorful smoothie that’s delicious while powerfully boosting your immune system. It’s good to have a variety of options when you want to boost your immune system and this smoothie is sure to delight. Ingredients
  

  • 1 organic orange or three small oranges such as mandarin or satsuma peeled with any seeds removed
  • 1 thin slice organic lemon leave skin on
  • 2 medium organic carrots chopped
  • 1 organic banana sliced into chunks and frozen – this will make the smoothie thicker and extra cold
  • 1 to 1 1/2 inches fresh organic ginger chopped (if you love ginger, leave skin on)
  • 3 Tablespoons organic hemp hearts or a small handful of organic nuts such as cashews or macadamia nuts
  • 1/2 tsp organic ground turmeric [Note: start with 1/4 teaspoon and add more to taste – it can be overwhelming for some taste-wise]
  • 1 Cup purified water

Instructions
 

  • Into the pitcher of a high-speed blender add all the ingredients.
  • Start your blender on low and increase speed up to high until all the ingredients are smoothly blended.
  • Pour into a glass and top with a sprinkle of hemp hearts.
